It’s not a real photoshoot, a real start of a new relationship with your local radio station, a real kickoff to the new year, without a polite-yet-firm talking-to from security, now is it?
Having picked up BotM promo shoots for the final two bands of 2016, Fallbrigade and Croatia, we were ready to kick into gear for January. That, of course, requires working ahead.
We met with the members of Illvis Freshly on a chilly night in mid-December, and wandered our surroundings capturing fun imagery, as is the whole point of a band promo shoot.
There was much variety of locations, many decorated with pretty Christmas lights, as December is wont to do.
And things went pretty much according to plan . . . until the tap on the shoulder from security, who let us know we needed to have cleared shooting on the property beforehand. Totally fair.
We didn’t think they’d mind if we took a parting shot at this display meant for . . . having photos taken.
