Over the past month, Rocktographers has had to make a very difficult decision. After much discussion and weighing the pros and cons, we’ve decided to put our annual concert photography event on hiatus.
Producing the Rocktographers showcase is a challenging, but fulfilling event for us. We built the event with the idea of bringing together the local concert photography scene, and celebrating their accomplishments in a gallery setting.
At present, without prep adequate time and resources available to our team, we felt that it would be a disservice to not properly celebrate the local photographers that helped built the Rocktographers showcase over the past five years.
We’d like to thank everyone who has supported the showcase over the past five years. Especially The PRINT Lab, Fort Tectoria, The Zone @ 91-3, 100.3 The Q!, Al Smith, the photographers, and every single person who came to one of our shows.
In the new year, Team Rocktographers looks forward to reconnecting to revisit the show. We’ve always wanted to do bigger and better things with it, and this may be the opportunity to make those things happen. Rocktographers also has several new projects lined up for 2018 which we are excited to share with you.
Don’t panic. We’re not going anywhere.
See you in the photo pit!
