Recently Victoria, BC-based lo-fi electro act, Court Club released their debut single, “Don’t Let Me Down.”
The newly minted electronic act, Court Club is made up of veteran musicians Steve Mitchell (CROATIA), Matt Dell (CROATIA, Kincaide) and Miles Chic (Kincaide).
Court Club’s infectious debut single “Don’t Let Me Down” takes cues from both modern and classic electronic music. With driving beats and samples but with that loose mellow vibe. This single easily has the ability to get people up and dancing while also a great soundtrack to a chill evening with friends.
“We [Court Club] started this project to experiment with different styles of electronic music and dance music, so you can expect that the next songs we will be releasing this summer are quite different. Don’t Let Me Down is not a big single or statement, but just a chill feel good song that we like to vibe to. We felt like it was a good first song to release as there are no expectations with it.”
A collaboration between long-time friends and producers Steve Mitchell, Miles Chic and Matt Dell, Court Club produces house-learning R&B-pop sounds washed with flowing rhythms, a spectrum of synths and reserved production, resulting in a creative and sophisticated blend of genres as much focused on vibe as the dancefloor.
