Halifax natives Wintersleep returned to Victoria for the first time in four years on March 26 to Sugar Night club. The tour is in support of their newest album ‘The Great Detachment‘ a step away from the dulcet creeping sounds of their 2012 ‘Hello Hum‘.
Supported by Walrus, and aptly named Evening Hymns, the audience was lulled into a soothing calm before Wintersleep took the stage. The energy of Wintersleep reviving the crowd into a thriving, dancing, menagerie of fans they have collected during their 15-year career. Stand out hits were the new single “Amerika” and, of course, “Weighty Ghost”.
