It’s been a long while since We Are The City has played in Victoria. They made their triumphant return on Saturday, March 12, bringing along their high-energy pals in HIGHS for a fun night of music at the ever-sweaty Lucky Bar.
Playing a set of material mostly comprised of songs from their two most recent albums, Above Club and Violent, they also threw in a few tracks from the High School EP for good measure.
We Are The City captured — and successfully held — the entire audience’s attention for their entire set. Their brand of experimental indie sets the bar high, and they brought out a frantically wild bunch to the front of the crowd, while the more mellow people spread to the sides and back to enjoy the music.
All in all, the night was an absolute treat for a packed Lucky Bar to witness.
