Today marked the end of another amazing Phillips Backyard Weekender. Despite everyone’s best efforts, the day flew by in a flourish of musical acts.
Torrential rains, thunder, and lightning couldn’t stop festivalgoers. Most Victorians pushed on in damp denim jackets and hoodies, waiting for the bipolar weather to choose a more suitable condition for the rest of the day. Eventually, the sun came out and the rain clouds moved on to distant shores in time for Northcote, Built to Spill, Jon & Roy, and the headliner, Dan Mangan & Blacksmith.
Stay tuned for the YYJ Rocktographers’ next Megapost in the next few days. It’ll be filled with stories and photos from the Phillips Backyard Weekender.
