On April 22nd, 2016, there was a packed evening of local talent at Victoria’s Copper Owl featuring Morning Show, Layten Kramer, Kirsten Ludwig, and Noah Edwards.
Noah Edwards kicked off the evening with a solo performance that included a cover of Radiohead’s Weird Fishes using his loop pedal. It’s always a treat to see Noah play, whether it with his band, solo, or with No Liars. It’s always going to be an interesting show.
Following Noah’s set was Kirsten Ludwig. A Calgary ex-pat now making her home here in Victoria, and gaining traction in the music scene with the recent release of her album Honest Tracks and cross country tour. Kirsten was joined by Hugh Mackie throughout the night on keys and joined by members of Fox Glove to sing a few songs with her at the end of her set.
The evening was closed out by two very energetic performances form both Layten Kramer and Morning Show. This was one of their first shows of their current co-headlining tour across western Canada.
