Victoria’s Adrian Chalifour describes his music as heart rock. Maybe it’s because he knows how to get you right in the feels with his lyrics, while still making danceable indie rock? Either way, we’ve been big supporters of his music over the years.
In 2019 Adrian decided to leave the moniker of Towers & Trees behind to focus on his solo career. This included an appearance on CTV’s The Launch and a brand new solo album called Joy, both of which garnered him critical acclaim for his talents.
Needless to say, we’ve been looking forward to working with Adrian Chalifour on a Rocktographers Session for a very long time.
Once again, Rocktographers teamed up with our pals at Quadratic Sound for our audio engineering and to use their very cool new studio space that is filled with interactive lighting from Limbic Media. We look forward to using this space for future sessions.
Adrian Chalifour brought in his Towers & Trees bandmates Dave Zellinsky, Dave Arter, Ben Lubberts, and Sascha Enns to lay down live versions of The Collapse, Calling on Love, and Open Heart off his 2019 album, Joy.
Rocktographers Sessions: local artists, intimate spaces, raw live performances, all captured through the lenses of passionate Rocktographers.
